While the hype around the metaverse has cooled down since 2022, there are still plenty of activities to get involved in. One that we’re definitely excited about is the second iteration of Decentraland’s Metaverse Fashion Week, taking place from 28th to 31st March.
This year’s MVFW will demonstrate the potential of interoperability between open metaverses. With the curatorial theme Future Heritage, MVFW23 is dedicated to connecting emerging digital designers with established traditional fashion institutions. Unlike 2022, this year's MVFW is cross-world -- not just in Decentraland. Brands like DG, Coach, and Diesel all have activations, so read on to see our top picks.
DRESSX curated experience in DCL store
DRESSX joins MVFW23 as a curator, bringing 3D fashion brands Blade Runway and Injury to the DRESSX flagship store in Decentraland. The drop will merge traditional and digital fashion worlds, utilising the Opéra in Paris, where the DUNDAS D24 Paris Fashion show took place, as the backdrop for the digital artworks. The iconic runway looks will be available for purchase as wearable NFTs on nft.dressx.com and on DCL marketplace, 24 hours prior to the event. Those who buy DUNDAS NFT’s in advance, will be able to wear their looks on Decentraland avatars during the digital fashion show.
Mint of the exclusive looks from the collection will be available right at the location of the show and in the DUNDAS store in DECENTRALAND, linked to nft.dressx.com for a convenient and smooth experience.
